Additional Information:

  • Electronic visas are issued. The candidate receives a visa sticker in their passport upon arrival in Serbia.

Kitchen Worker/Cook

Job Open for:

  • Men, women, married couples aged 18-55.

Type of Work:

  • Helper in the kitchen or chef of European cuisine

Work Schedule:

  • The work schedule is floating according to the institution where the employee will work. Basically, 8-9 working hours per day. From 08:00/09:00 in the morning to 16:00/17:00. Saturday at the request of the employee – is not a mandatory requirement. It is paid in addition to the salary.

Salary:

  • 600-900 EUR a month depending on the candidate’s experience.

Apartments Provided by the Employer:

  • Women separately, men separately, married couples separately.

Work Clothes:

  • Provided by the employer.

Meals:

  • At own expense.

Transport:

  • Free company car provided.

Requirements for Future Kitchen Workers in the Hotel and Restaurant Sector in Serbia:

Vocational Training:

  • Preferably, candidates should have completed relevant vocational training in culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Possession of food safety and hygiene certifications, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) or equivalent – at the place of arrival in the country is provided by the employer.

Entry-Level Positions:

  • Minimal experience may be required, but internships or practical training periods are highly beneficial.

Mid-Level Positions:

  • 2-5 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.

Senior-Level Positions:

  • Over 5 years of experience with demonstrated expertise in kitchen management, menu planning, and team leadership.

Culinary Skills:

  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques, including grilling, baking, frying, and sautéing.

Knife Skills:

  • Advanced knife skills for precise and efficient food preparation.

Time Management:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to Detail:

  • High level of attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation.

Team Player:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.

Communication Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of English is advantageous.

Physical Stamina:

  • Capability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Passion for Cooking:

  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm for culinary arts and hospitality.
