Identity Malta has undergone a rebranding, transforming into Identità, as announced by the state-run agency on Saturday. The agency, responsible for ID cards, passports, visas, and civil status records, revealed its new identity at an event, featuring a redesigned logo with a red watchtower emblem in the form of a biometric fingerprint, symbolizing authenticity, security, and innovation. CEO Mark Mallia emphasized that this change is not merely cosmetic but a commemoration of a decade-long journey, reflecting the agency’s expanded services and commitment to protecting citizens from identity theft.
